This is the head of a fully functioning Tiki, working on the ceremonial platform of tupuhaea, a social marae located up in the valley of Hamuta, Pirae (Tahiti).
The story doesn't say much about this Tiki, only that it is a male, guardian and keeper of the platform.
I can't say much about his work schedule, or whether and how he would use his mana to fulfill his mission.
I guess if you wonder, you may want to ask Sunny Walker about him. (Sunny, if you read this, ia ora na)
This photo was taken before the maoaraa matahiti 2010 ceremony.
